Polyurethane Mouldings - Revlite

Polyurethane Revilite Moulding

Revlite is a unique hybrid thermoset polyurethane material and was originally developed for the use in the luxury car markets for high temperature resistance.

Revlite is very strong and can be moulded in sections as thin as 1mm, but can also be moulded to incorporate large section changes without 'show through' of the thick sections on the 'A' face.

Revlite can offer good elasticity combined with the strength and durability of metal. It can be manufactured in a range of proportions, each one providing a diverse combination of characteristics within areas of strength, weight, density, flexibility, sectional thickness and heat resistance.

Polyurethane Mouldings

Revlite can replace either rubber, plastic or metal to create the ultimate material in abrasion resistance, chemical resistance (Diesel / Brake Fluid) and physical properties.

Revlite is used in the automotive industry for exterior panel applications, Moulded Bumpers / Heat resistant applications (Near exhaust and under Bonnet), Revlite is one of the toughest, wear resistant materials available.

One other unique characteristic of Revlite is that you do not need to paint the components to achieve an acceptable gloss level. Colour can be either added as pigment to the base material or by in-mould painting and an 80% gloss level and above can be achieved direct from the tool, however the material can be painted post mould if required.

Revlite allows tooling costs to be minimised by the use of resin tools as it causes little tool wear.
