BI Composites not only use polyurethane foams in composite processes (see SRIM) but also as single materials.
Self-skinning foams, energy absorbent foams (EA) and structural foams are used to produce a multitude of parts such as head restraints, armrests, dashboard facias, grab handles, gear knobs, seat foams, insulation materials and structural foam substrates. Soft foams are also moulded over structural substrates to give soft cushioned properties.
